The Mono Awards 2019 - Places Category: Commended

In the north of the northern island of Japan, Hokkaido. The sun rises before 4AM. The pond is cover with mist. On the other side of the pond, two Japanese photographer arguing about where to place the tripod. Their voices booming over the water, shuttering the silence into millions ripples in the air and on the water. Birds are still asleep, and if awake, they do not dare to peep through the noise. Only a dead fallen tree dares to pull itself from the depth of the pond. Not suitable for the bird- lens I was carrying, but somehow I still managed to capture the reflection. Then when the pond turned silent again, birds appeared.
